CRI Catalyst Company (CRI) supplies catalysts, technology and services to the chemical, environmental emission control and petrochemical industries.

CRI is the global catalyst technology company of the Royal Dutch Shell Group. Our research laboratories, development facilities, manufacturing plants and business units are dedicated to supplying the most efficient and cost-effective catalysts to customers around the world.

CRI provides flue gas treatment catalysts for:

NOx Reduction. CRI provides technology for selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of nitrogen oxides (NOx) from stationary combustion sources and chemical processes. CRI SCR catalyst technology is unique in its ability to provide high NOx reduction even at low temperatures, making it highly cost-effective for retrofit onto existing facilities where exhaust temperatures are low.

Dioxin Removal. CRI provides technology for the catalytic destruction of dioxins and furans from municipal solid and hazardous liquid waste incineration facilities. CRI catalyst technology can enable customers to cost-effectively meet the most stringent worldwide dioxin emission requirements.

N₂O Decomposition. CRI provides catalytic technology for the decomposition of nitrous oxide (N2O) in the tail gas streams from chemical process plants and other industrial processes. N2O is identified as a significant greenhouse gas (GHG) under the Kyoto Protocols.
